African American barber shops have become a temple in the community, a place built for the people. This is a series I see myself continuing as I sat in this barber shop for hours, immersing myself in the atmosphere, listening to laughter and conversations. To be surrounded by my culture and in a place where men of all ages are not seen as "black men," but just men.
